What's in the boxThe Signature Edition Cleaver, packed in its printed forest gift box with the specs and the MWTP story on the back. Built to be kept, or given.
THE ORIGINAL, UPGRADED.
Same shape, same weight, same balance as the cleaver from every Men With The Pot video. The difference is in the steel: a high carbon San Mai blade hardened to 60-62 HRC, on a stabilised acacia handle. It is the cleaver the Original was always heading towards.
The Original, upgraded. The Signature Edition is the same Men With The Pot cleaver from the videos, hand forged in high carbon 10Cr15CoMoV San Mai steel and hardened to 60-62 HRC for an edge that holds far longer.
The blade shape, weight and balance are exactly what made the Original the cleaver over 40,000 people cook with. What changes is the steel: a hard high carbon core wrapped in tougher outer layers, finished on a stabilised acacia wood handle and laser etched with the MWTP mark.
Every Signature Edition arrives in its own printed forest gift box, ready to keep or to give.

The shape, size and balance are the same. The steel is not. The Signature Edition is hand forged in 10Cr15CoMoV high carbon San Mai steel and hardened to 60-62 HRC, against 56+ HRC on the Original, so it takes a keener edge and holds it far longer. The handle is stabilised acacia, and it arrives in its own gift box.
Three layers forged into one blade. A hard high carbon core runs through the middle and forms the edge, wrapped in two tougher outer layers that protect it. You can see where they meet as the soft line along the bevel. It is how traditional Japanese blades are built: a sharper edge that lasts, without the blade turning brittle.
Not if you treat it like a knife and not like a spoon. 10Cr15CoMoV is a high carbon stainless steel. Rinse it, dry it, put it away, and never the dishwasher. Leave it wet in the sink overnight and any blade on earth will spot. Dry it and it will outlast every other knife in the drawer.
That is the whole point of the upgrade. At 60-62 HRC it comes sharper out of the box than the Original and stays sharp for longer between touch ups. When it does need one, a whetstone brings it straight back.
It is built for it. Every Signature Edition arrives in a printed forest gift box with the specs and the Men With The Pot story on the back, so there is nothing to wrap but the box.
