Another knife was a good idea
I cook a lot--in the kitchen, barbecue (wood/charcoal only), Dutch ovens, and open fire. I own a lot of knives but couldn't resist giving this knife/cleaver a try.
It arrived just before Thanksgiving, just in time for a large cooking project. It was sharp enough out of the box to go to work. I gave the blade a substantial workout slicing and dicing vegetables for various holiday dishes. The only thing I didn't use it for was opening the wine. The shape of the blade is unlike any of my other knives but it didn't take long to get used to it and appreciate it's efficiency.
I think most avid cooks have a few knives that are their "go to" favorites. This cleaver is at the top of my list.
